Parry's Cove

Parry’s Cove by Sheargold is a new master-planned community situated on the pristine shores of the Myall River, adjacent to beach side historical villages of Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest, on the north shore of Port Stephens, NSW. This new community will become a benchmark for active healthy living utilising the existing bushland, abundant waterways, beaches and all the associated activities that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Parry’s Cove will be home to over 900 families offered in home sites from 400 – 1000sqm. All dwellings are set in this natural and enhanced riverside/coastal location with over 40% of the site reserved to protect the local Koala population and existing wetlands.

Sheargold, a boutique property developers and investors, intends to launch this new flagship residential project in late 2020.

Masterplan

The Parry’s Cove masterplan connects the entire development to the cove on the eastern side of the project. Through the inclusion of a main green and blue spine through the centre of the development Sheargold have been able to integrate the new living environment with the existing Myall River. This includes protecting and enhancing the natural environment. Subject to council and government approvals, it is intended that a boardwalk of regional significance will meander through the wetlands to allow walking, riding and running from the homes to the shore of the river and into the Tea Gardens Township, and linking over to the golf course and beaches.

A Connected Community

Parry’s Cove will become the benchmark for active healthy living utilising the existing bushland, abundant waterways, beaches and all the associated activities that can be enjoyed by all ages. Residents at Parry’s Cove will benefit from two state of the art, multimillion-dollar purpose build facilities:

The Hub

Positioned at the heart of the community for easy access by all residents, this large indoor-outdoor space will be the central community meeting space. Featuring a commercial grade kitchen, BBQ’s, Bocce court, community veggie patch, movie screen, outdoor fireplaces, expansive decks, covered lookouts over the central lake and much more.

Wellness Centre

Situated along the future main entrance to the community, The Wellness Centre will feature a state-of-the-art gym, 5 lane x 25m indoor heated pool, multipurpose room for guided exercise classes such as Yoga and Pilates, with an outdoor deck area to unwind post-workout.

Tennis Courts

Residents will enjoy the benefit of two championship sized tennis courts featuring amenities and seating areas.

Parklands & Outdoor Spaces

The Landscape Architecture at Parry’s Cove has been sensitively designed to provide the abundance of local fauna, especially the incredible bird life, a habitat to live in harmony with its residents.

Multiple parks will connect as well as provide residents to retreat into nature. Expect to see everything from local indigenous artworks, meandering walkways and cycle paths, linear parks acting as a green spine to the community through to local historical themed interactive features.

Residents will be able to pick their activity for the day, or simply change the pace and take in the view

Local Facilities

The masterplan also integrates adjacent shopping and medical facilities located at the entrance to the project. These facilities offer a Coles supermarket, banking, bakery, post office, wine shop, fashion, café, pharmacy and Ochre Health Medical Centre.

With just a 10 minute walk, or even shorter cycle or drive, into the historic village of Tea Gardens with all its quaint offerings of tea houses, seafood and French restaurants, cafes, churches, and of course the village pub. A further 10 minute walk away, over the “Singing Bridge’’ lies the renowned holiday destination of Hawks Nest. Located adjacent to Bennetts Beach it offers an 18 hole golf course, Surf Lifesaving Club, an additional supermarket and everyday shopping.

History

Tea Gardens has a rich history. One worth exploring and celebrating.

Parry’s Cove takes its name from the areas history and distinct landscape. Part of the name is inspired by Sir William Edward Parry and his wife Lady Isabella Louisa Parry who were outstanding pioneers of the area, and who contributed greatly to the community.

The word ‘Cove’ was selected because it is a descriptor referring to the river bend adjacent to the project and its ability for the essence of the word to invoke a feeling of comfort, protection and security to the community’s future residents.

A number of precincts, each with their individual character and history combine to make up the Parry’s Cove Community and throughout the course of the development, we will explore and celebrate more great stories of this area for future generations to cherish.
